"Stars Fell on Alabama" composed by Frank Perkins with lyrics by Mitchell Parish. 

The Ella Fitzgerald + Louis Armstrong version is without a doubt my all-time favorite song.  Hers velvety, his gravely - their voices combine to make the most romantic song I’ve ever heard.

The title refers to a spectacular occurrence of the Leonid meteor shower that had been observed in Alabama in November of 1833
